Pray and claim God’s promises for the world, your neighbourhood, your friend. Check out some ways to get started.

Pray through the news. Rather than allow anxiety and fear to invade your thoughts as you read of world calamities, invite God to move and use these situations for the growth of his Kingdom and the redeeming of his creation.

  • Pray through specific scriptures, or incorporate worship songs as you intercede for the nations.
  • Pray for your church to be strategically involved in God’s work around the world.
  • Make a list of 5 people who you will pray for until they come to the Lord.
  • Learn and explore fasting as a complementary means of growing in prayer.
  • Find a prayer partner who will grow with you in prayer.
  • Prayerwalk your neighborhood, or a neighborhood God puts on your heart.

  • Read your Bible underlining every time the nations are mentioned.
  • Read your Bible looking for the top line/bottom line references and paraphrases.
  • You have a story to tell and experiences to share – do so! Don’t be pushy but don’t be shy in inviting others to wrestle with God’s missionary heart.
